The much-anticipated Startups4Peace (Su4P) 2024 program is officially open for applications, inviting visionary entrepreneurs from across Cyprus to take part in this unique bi-communal accelerator program. Startups4Peace aims to bring together communities in Cyprus through entrepreneurship, providing crucial support to early-stage startups and entrepreneurs with scalable business models.
Startups4Peace (Su4P) is a dynamic bi-communal accelerator program designed to foster collaboration between the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities. It provides entrepreneurs with the knowledge, resources, and opportunities needed to develop and scale their businesses. The program is structured around intensive bootcamps, one-to-one mentoring sessions, and culminates in a high-stakes pitching battle, where participants compete for the ultimate prize—participation in SLUSH 2024, the world’s premier startup event in Finland.
Activities Included in the Program
Participants in Startups4Peace 2024 will engage in the following activities:
Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow entrepreneurs across Cyprus.
Workshops and Bootcamps: Two residential bootcamps featuring ‘one-to-many’ workshops designed to sharpen business skills.
Mentoring Sessions: Tailored ‘one-to-one’ mentoring from international experts to address specific needs of the startups.
Digital Market Discovery: Access to professional development opportunities aimed at market validation and fit.
Pitching Battle: A competition where startups pitch their ideas to a jury of independent professionals, with the winners earning a place at SLUSH 2024.
Prize for the Winning Startups
The winners of the pitching battle will be awarded the opportunity to attend SLUSH 2024 in Finland. This includes coverage of travel, accommodation, and per diem expenses for up to two individuals from each winning startup. SLUSH is renowned for being the most founder-focused event on Earth, providing unparalleled exposure to the global startup ecosystem.
Who Can Apply?
Startups4Peace 2024 is open to early-stage entrepreneurs and startups based in Cyprus, particularly those with innovative, scalable business ideas. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be the owner/founder of a startup or an entrepreneur at the pre-startup stage with a viable business idea.
Be over 18 years of age and possess a good level of English.
Be capable of traveling across Cyprus and hold the necessary documentation to do so.
Applications from previous Su4P winners and ideas not compliant with legal standards will not be considered.
Female founders and collaborative startups from both communities are particularly encouraged to apply, with priority given to tech-based ideas promoting innovation, digitalization, green transition, and sustainability.
